"Rituals are oases, a time to rest, replenish, and restore ourselves on our long and winding path through life. Rituals help us reevaluate our journey thus far and to reaffirm that the path we are traveling is the right one for us."

Dr. Lauren Wills - Chiropractic Physician, BIRTHFIT Sauk Valley Leader

Dr. Lauren Wills is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Augustana College. While attending Sterling High school, Dr. Lauren competed in track and cross country and was team captain of both despite undergoing two knee surgeries in that time. Into college and beyond, Dr. Lauren had all but given up on running due to knee pain. While in chiropractic school she started to have her knees as well as her spine adjusted and as a result had her first pain-free run in twelve years.

After graduation, Dr. Lauren established a chiropractic practice in Boulder, Colorado specializing in athletes and treated several world class professional triathletes, rock climbers, road bikers, and crossfitters as well as weekend warriors and everyone in between. During the year of 2014, Dr. Lauren gave birth to her first child, completed her first ultramarathon (50 miles) and became deeply interested in treating the female athlete and women in the motherhood transition. Since that time, she has become the Leader for BIRTHFIT Sauk Valley, Webster certified, and a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Lauren has completed over 600 hours of continuing education and training in the areas of chiropractic medicine, advanced adjusting techniques, physiotherapy, neurology, TMJ and extremity treatments, sports performance, soft-tissue techniques and nutrition.

Pam Capp

Pam has worked in the medical field and as a physical therapist for over 20 years. She has split her time between the CGH clinics and Gaffey Home Nursing. Once she returned to the CGH clinics she expanded her knowledge and completed her training as a pelvic floor physical therapist.

Her passion and knowledge for helping people with pelvic floor issues is unparalleled. While she can help everyone she does have a special interest in the perinatal timeframe.

She is busy outside of work with her family and hobbies.

Jaime Hawkins is a licensed massage therapist with 25 years of experience. She attended massage school in Nashville, TN at The Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Movement. After graduating she moved to Colorado where she worked in Vail and surrounding areas before returning home to Sterling where she has worked alongside chiropractors in the local area for the last twenty years. Jaime is trained in several modalities, including pre-natal, Swedish, neuromuscular therapy, & deep tissue. During a massage session she blends the techniques she has learned to tailor the massage to meet the clients needs. Jaime resides in Sterling with her husband and two daughters.

Jane is the most recent addition to our staff. In addition to working part time as Rituals’ new receptionist, Jane has owned and operated Legacy Martial Arts for the last 6 years. She has been training in Taekwondo for over 20 years, and holds a 5th Degree Black Belt. Jane is also an internationally published model.

She is a mentor to not only the students she instructs in her business but also those who have graduated from the school and have moved on.

We are beyond excited to have her in the office and love the dynamic she adds to our already diverse group.

Peggy was a kindergarten and first grade teacher at Franklin School in Sterling for several decades. As she was nearing retirement she found her interest in reiki and energetic healing through personal experience.

She is a master level reiki practitioner and completed her training in 2015.
She also enjoys working out, training for her half Ironman triathlon, spending time with grandkids and family, and staying busy with friends.

Mariyah is a licensed massage therapist, certified yoga instructor, sound healer, and a former personal trainer (corrective exercise).

She has been licensed in massage since March 2018 and loves every bit of her job.

Her favorite part is helping people relax while giving them therapeutic bodywork to feel better throughout their day to day life.

She’s currently working part time as a massage therapist and full time as a momma to her one year old son and new puppy.
